What Really Happens Between the Scenes

Here's a secret about making a YouTube episode every week: what you see is polished. What we live is not.
By the time an episode hits your screen, it's been shaped into a story with a beginning, a middle, an end, a bow on top. But real life aboard doesn't work like that. There are entire days, and completely random moments that never make the cut. Not because they're not worth sharing but because they don't fit into the YouTube world.
That's where the server comes in. It's always been the place where the unedited version of this life lives. And so many of you ask the same thing: "What actually goes on over there?"
So here's what I'm doing about it.
Something New: Behind-the-Scenes, Right Here on the Blog
I've been pulling a little piece of what happens on the server each week and sharing it here on the blog. Think of it as you get a peek at the real, relaxed, unfiltered side of life aboard with the quiet moments, the funny ones, the stuff that usually stays off camera — without needing to be on the server yourself.
I'm not sharing everything. Some things are just for the people who are actually there. But if what you see here gives you a taste you like, the server door is always open.
This Week's Clip
Picture this: just me, my phone camera, and absolutely no plan.
We'd just pulled into a marina in South Florida with a dock, shore power and AC. After a full day of salt and sun, I finally got to shower, and instead of getting fully dressed again, I just... stayed in my bikini. No particular reason. It felt right.
I wandered back to the bedroom to cool off, and that's when I found it — this ridiculously good camera angle. I'd mounted my phone to the mount and just started talking. No script and no filter... It was just me, rocking a hot little number in one of my favorite bright colors, feeling pretty good about it.
The fabric was thin enough that I half expected it to be see-through. It wasn't... Well, not in the way you're picturing, anyway. But let's just say some things came through loud and clear regardless. And I was more than okay with that.
It was a small, silly, completely unplanned moment. The kind that never would've made it into an episode — but it's exactly the kind of thing that lives on the server.

Want More Like This?
This is just a taste. If this is the version of me you want more of — relaxed, honest, a little playful, and a lot less curated — the server is where it happens in real time.
Thanks for being here, for watching and for reading about this wild floating life we live. It genuinely means the world.
See you over on the server. 🌊
