These are the moments where I grab the camera in my natural state — whatever that might look like, whatever I might be doing — and you're just there with me. No script. No setup. Just Brittany. Wearing whatever I choose to wear...

Can we talk about this for a second? Because I feel like not enough people are loudly using the re-wear pile and I am prepared to be the one who does.

Here's the system: If I wore something for a few hours, I wasn't sweating in it, and it doesn't smell — it doesn't go in the hamper. It goes on the re-wear pile. Then next time I need to get dressed quickly, I pull from there instead of tearing through everything clean.

It cuts laundry in half. It makes getting dressed faster. It is genuinely one of the most functional things I do and I refuse to be embarrassed about it.

Getting dressed when you're hot, sticky, and still want to be cute scene

I'd been doing house things, the freezer had been sorted, the trash had been handled, and I was overheated and slightly over it — but I still had things to do and needed to look like a person.

The solution? A dress straight off the re-wear pile. Built-in support, a little tie detail, short skirt, and fabric that basically behaves like a swimsuit — which is the highest compliment I can give anything in warm weather. No extra layers. No complicated process. Just on and done.

I do love clothes that make you look like you tried without requiring you to actually try. That's the dream. That's the whole thing.

Sunscreen, always. Even if you can't remember what it's called scene

Before heading out — sunscreen. Specifically on the chest because if you wear lower-cut anything with any regularity, that area is getting more sun than you think and you will pay for it eventually.

I've been using Vanicream, which has somehow acquired an entirely wrong and very funny nickname in my brain due to a mix of commercials, branding overlap, and general chaos. I won't bore you with the linguistics of how that happened. The point is: put it on.

There's always some debate floating around about what's the right sunscreen, what ingredients to avoid, who's right, who's wrong. I mostly just pick something and apply it consistently and call it a win.

The finishing touches are the best part scene

Once the outfit is on, it really only takes a few more things to feel like a full human:

Sunglasses. Shoes. Hair clip.

Done. Out the door.

There's something I really love about that part — the day started with a half-dismantled freezer and a trash collection loop and somehow it ends with me feeling cute and heading out. That's the arc. That's the whole energy of this episode.

The water bottle that absolutely earned its screen time scene

The Malibu Strings water bottle made an appearance and it deserved it.

If you know me and bikinis, you know I love Malibu Strings. So naturally when they made a water bottle, I had to have it. It's cute, it's practical, it makes me smile every time I pick it up, and the message on it is exactly the right amount of dreamy and playful.

Sometimes that's the thing. The small, silly, completely unnecessary cute thing that just makes an ordinary chaotic day feel a little more fun.
